• Great Garden Clear Up

  Mrs Coburn and Miss Wood have been drafting in some very kind volunteers to work on the garden area in the middle of the school. It's become very overgrown in recent months and needs a lot of TLC! Here are some of the first pictures of the great clear up.

   

  There are big plans for this area afoot - and it's going to be a brilliant learning resource for the whole school.

   

  If you are willing and able to help in any way with the clear up, please let Mrs Coburn know, via the office.

   

   

  

• High Five Netball Tournament

  Tue 03 May 2016 Miss Bradbrook and Miss Smith

  On Tuesday 3rd May, the Tyrrells Netball Team travelled to Great Baddow High School to play in the rescheduled CSSP High Five Netball Tournament.

   

  With five other teams in their pool, Tyrrells set out to play some great netball - and they certainly did!

  Scores from the pool were as follows:

  Won v Newlands Spring 12-0

  Won v Barnes Farm Juniors 8-1

  Won v Great Waltham 7-1

  Won v Boreham 6-1

  Won v Baddow Hall 4-1

  These amazing results meant that we finished first in our pool and we then went on to play the runners up from the other pool of schools.

  Won v Great Leighs 9-3

  Finally we played the winner from the other pool, Our Lady Immaculate - in a nail biting finale...

  Which we also won with a final score of 6-3, meaning that Tyrrells finished in first place overall and now go through to the County Finals in Basildon at the end of June.

   

  Huge congratulations to the Team, who played superbly, combined well, never gave up, looked super slick and made everyone watching them from the side lines VERY PROUD indeed!

  We'd like to say a MASSIVE thank you to Sam Bluck and Kerry Ketley for all of the time and effort that they have put in to coaching the team.

   

  Thanks also go to the parents for transporting the children and supporting them at the event.
