Literacy - Lesson 4 - The Snail and the Whale

Last week in Letters and Sounds you explored the story 'The Snail and the whale'.

First we would like you to recap the story and think of a place you would like to go.

Then if you could visit any country in the world,

Where would you go?

What would it look like?

What would be there?

What could you do there?

Who would live there?

Now draw a picture of where you would go and write a sentence.

Can you use the word 'would'. "I would go to.......... because..........."

To remember the spelling for would have a look at my poem

Wow       o      u     lucky     duck

It's a bit silly, but it might help you to remember how to spell the tricky word.

Don't forget:

- Capital Letter at the start

- Finger spaces

- Full stop at the end of your sentence.

'because' is a connective to make your sentence longer and more exciting. Why not challenge yourself and use 'because'.

Go for it!
