We are starting a new topic in geography all about coastlines and the seaside 
We will be exploring some new vocabulary to describe what seaside locations are like.
Lets start with some questions to get your brains warmed up!
Have you ever spent the day at the seaside in the UK? How far away was it in the car? What did you do while you were there? Why do people visit the seaside? Can you remember anything that you learnt about the seaside in year one?
Today you are going to be researching a seaside location in the UK, perhaps one you have visited before or one you would like to visit in the future. You are going to be making notes all about the features of the seaside location you are researching.
Ideas for locations to research: Southend-on-Sea, Clacton, Great Yarmouth, Canvey Island, Poole, Whitstable or Hastings.
Today you are researchers and making notes and tomorrow you are going to be presenting your research in the form of a poster, PowerPoint or a leaflet.
