Pupil Report Comments

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please help your child to complete the Pupil Report Comments template below. They can choose to either type or hand write their reflections on the year. If they chose to hand write their ideas, please either scan the finished document or take a photograph. Completed templates should be sent by email to your child's teacher by Monday 20th July. This copy will be added to the teacher written report and kept for our own records. You are invited to keep your original copy as a record of your child's view of their school year and can add this to their teacher report, once received. We look forward to receiving their thoughts as they look back on 2019/2020.

(This message will appear all week but you only need to complete it once!)

The Year 4 Team

PE

Are you ready to rock?

Maths

We are moving on to a new topic today, of co-ordinates. We have looked at these earlier in the year when we were map reading in class. Have a look at the help sheet below and work through the Powerpoint.

Warm your brain up trying to identify the Cafe coordinates. Choose the appropriate challenge level for you.
Have a go at the fluency and reasoning questions which are below. Remember to always read along the corridor, up the stairs.

English

Today, we are looking at the skill of editing and redrafting. We often find this tricky when trying to do this to our own work. So today, we are going to have a go at using these skills in a number of activities.

To warm ourselves up, let us recap about the use of apostrophes. Use the PPT below to work out how to use apostrophes correctly.

Then, have a go at either challenge * (this makes it clear which is singular or plural possession) or challenge ** (this is a mix of plural and singular possession for you to spot). You can self mark your answers using those included at the end of the question document.

Now, choose one of the three challenge levels of text about Wimbledon. Can you identify all the different punctuation and grammatical errors that have been made?

Science - Teeth and the Digestive System

Today, we are starting our new and final science topic of Year 4.

Read through the "Teeth and digestion PPT". Use the information on the slides to complete the "Tooth labelling activity".

Now, have a go at completing the "Inside a tooth activity". You may need to use the Powerpoint above, and conduct some further research on the internet. A good starting point may be the weblink provided below.
