We are starting our unit linked to our Mayan topic. This will involve us reading The Chocolate Tree by Linda Lowery and Richard Keep. To be able to fully understand the basis of Mayan folklore we need to use our knowledge of the Mayans. We have already studied lots of different aspects, but as a recap have a read through "Intro to Mayans" and "Meeting the Mayans".
Today's task is to carefully read through each of the different versions of the Creation story. You will need to choose the one version that you prefer so tomorrow you can produce a story board of word and images retelling the story, or perhaps you may produce a comic strip.
Maths
Today we are consolidating our learning of money,, using MyMaths.
Please see your MyMaths account for today's maths task. Complete the lesson before attempting the homework. Remember you can use your book for workings. We will monitor results online.
You must remember to log out of your portal and then log out of MyMaths - otherwise your results might not be sent to us.
Your first task to complete will be "Money Calculations" This involves converting pence into pounds, adding money values together and adding priced food items together to find the total cost.
Once completed, move on to "Money Problems" This involves calculating change and working out the total of multiple food items.

Lesson 3 - Higher and Lower
Read through the "Higher and Lower PPT" on slides 1 to 9, making sure to complete the activities along the way.
Then, complete the "Straw Pan Pipes" worksheet using slides 10 to 12 to help you.
