The Tyrrells School

Aspire, Care, Learn for Life

Week Commencing 6th July 2020

Seesaw

Don't forget to log on to Seesaw and share some of your hard work with us. Mrs Daines has asked that you upload AT LEAST TWO ITEMS PER WEEK please.

We love seeing what you have been up to. We also love to see pictures of the other things that you are doing while you are at home, like baking, gardening, drawing or riding your bike - so please do upload these too!

Reading

Please, please, please continue to read with your child on a daily basis. There are links to suitable reading books on the Year 1 main page, with Oxford Owl and World Book Reader making lots of their resources free for people to access at the moment.

NumBots

You should all have received your NumBots log in at the start of last half term. We can see that many of you have tried this fabulous maths program, and are practising your maths skills while playing the games. Please keep it up!

Children should aim to play in Story Mode for at least three minutes, four to five times a week, in order to get the best out of NumBots, little and often is key. And if you haven't logged on yet - you're missing out! Please get in touch with us via email if you are having trouble accessing NumBots and we will try our best to help.

Report Comments

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please help your child to complete the Pupil Report Comments template below. They can chose to either type or hand write their reflections on the year. If they chose to hand write their ideas, please either scan the finished document or take a photograph. Completed templates should be sent by email to your child's teacher by Monday 20th July. This copy will be added to the teacher's written report and kept for our own records. You are invited to keep your original copy as a record of your child's view of their school year and can add this to their teacher report, once received.

We look forward to receiving their thoughts as they look back on 2019/2020.

Kind regards,

The Year One Team
