V.E Day
V.E Day
Did you know that V.E Day stands for Victory in Europe Day. On 8th May 2020 I will be 75 years since the very first V.E Day. The day marks the end of the Second World War (WW2) in Europe and is a time when people remember everyone who fought and lived during the war. At 11 o’clock today there will be a 2 minutes silence so that we can remember the sacrifice that was made by those that lost their lives and loved ones.
We have not set any formal school work today but have included some activities that you may want to take a look at from papercraft spitfires, to recipes on wartime cakes and colour-your-own bunting!
