Now that you have had a go at interpreting different pictograms, you are going to collect some data in order to create your own. Choose a room in your house, identify and count all the different 2D shapes that you can see. Keep a record of these in your notebook or use the template provided. A good idea would be to write the name of the shape and create a tally beside it before totalling the number of each shape. 

 

Once you have gathered your data, you can create your own pictogram showing the information you have collected. Don't forget to add a title and a key to your graph. You may create this yourself on use the template below.

 

Finally, can you create some questions based on your pictogram for somebody else in your home to answer?
