  • Netball Tournament Results

    Tue 15 Mar 2016

On Monday 14th March, two teams of children took part in a High Five Netball tournament at Great Baddow High alongside fourteen other Chelmsford schools. For some of those playing, this was their first experience of a competitive game and they were very keen to put weeks of drills, skills and fancy footwork into each match.

Team A managed to win all 5 of their matches, with some rather impressive scores:

    v Kings Road B - won 8-0

    v St Peters - won 4-2

    v Boreham A - won 9-0

    v Terling - won 15-0

    v St Annes - won 6-0

They finished top of their pool and go through to the next round in April.

    Team A: Katie B, Keira C, Nathan H, Abi K, Brooke T, Edie W and Hannah W

Team B, with many brand new High Five players, also fought hard to hold off the competition, only losing one match out of their five:

    v Our Lady Immaculate - lost 6-0

    v Kings Road A - won 4-0

    v Cathedral - drew 1-1

    v Great Waltham - drew 1-1

    v Moulsham Juniors - won 3-0

Team B finished third in their pool.

    Team B: Luke A, Jodie A, Isobel G, George I, Tara L, Sophia S, Beth W and Claudia W

Many thanks to the parents who came to support us and helped with transport. Huge thanks also to Kerry Ketley and Sam Bluck for their dedication and time spent coaching both teams.

  • 100 Books Challenge

    Tue 08 Mar 2016

As you should already be aware, we are attempting the '100 Books Before Summer' Challenge. We aim, as a whole school, to read and review all 100 Books by July 22nd. When you have read one of the books on the list, you will need to complete a Book Review - two electronic templates for which can be found under the 'Useful Information' section of the 'Parents' pages - and hand it in to Mrs Birch. Your teacher will also have paper copies of the Book Review forms.

    Good Luck!
