PGL - Home Time!
We have just left PGL and are on our way home. We have had a fantastic week away and are looking forward to a restful weekend.
PGL Day 5
This morning we woke up with many jobs to complete - clear beds, close bags, empty bins and then BREAKFAST! All groups had their final activities; for most groups the final activities were Jacob's ladder, survivor or giant swing. We then had lunch before loading our bags on the coach and making our departure. We have all thoroughly enjoyed our week at PGL - we have developed our teamwork skills, independence and resilience.
PGL Day 4
Our final full day at PGL! We have had an action packed day - it started with breakfast like always! Today we participated in lots of activities such as a coastal walk, abseiling, big swing, rifle shooting, survivor, zip wire and sensory trail. Everyone has challenged themselves today to climb higher than they have before and try new things. It's been cold but we have had sunshine and dry weather. Before dinner, we visited the shop and got to spend our money. After our final dinner, we are heading off for the disco and to eat some of our goodies. We have had a fantastic time and can't wait to tell you all about it when we are home. We will upload some disco pictures later.
This evening, we have enjoyed our last night at PGL by getting dressed up for a disco. We enjoyed dancing and singing as well as having a quiet room for those who wanted to draw or sit for a quiet chat. We also celebrated a birthday today!
PGL Day 3
Once again, we started the day with breakfast to keep us energised for the day - we all had an amazing night's sleep! Today we completed a range of activities: zip wire, archery, problem solving, trapeze and beach walk. We have had good weather today - dry and some sun. We are enjoying some free time in our dorms or playing outside with a PGL leader before heading to dinner and then an evening quiz.
PGL Day 2
This morning, after a good night's sleep, we started the day with a cooked breakfast or cereal and then went off to our activities below which included (depending on their group) climbing, fencing and problem solving. After lunch, we headed off to our final activities of the day which included canoeing, sensory trail, survivor and Jacob's ladder. We have experienced a little bit of rain but we wrapped up warm and continued with our day. We are looking forward to dinner which includes a variety of options! Tonight we will be going to a camp fire to enjoy some campfire songs!
This evening, we enjoyed singing songs and roasting marshmallows at the camp fire. After a busy day, we are planning to settle for bed quickly to get a good night's sleep! Goodnight!
PGL Day 1
We arrived at Bawdsey Manor in good time and were able to access our rooms straight away. After some time to unpack and a few dormitory photographs, we went for a tour of the grounds and our first dinner. This evening, our activity is 'Ambush' which is a bit like hide and seek!
After our evening activity, we will settle into our rooms to enjoy our first night at PGL. Goodnight everyone!
