Events and Highlights
Roman Army Formations
We have been learning all about the Romans this half term! In our lesson this week we investigated the Roman Army: what it was like, who was part of it and the different formations they had when battling. We re-enacted these ourselves on the playground with our own shields.
Homework
Maths Homework
Please spend 30 minutes having a go at the division questions. There is an example of the counter method if you are stuck. Please do come and ask for help if you need some assistance.
Reading
Please ensure you read 5 times across the week.
Spellings

Colchester Castle
Year 4 had a brilliant time at Colchester Castle. We spent time looking around the exciting museum exhibits, had a wonderful story tour in the foundations of the castle and even got to build their own Roman Villa. On top of this, the children also got some virtual, hand-on experience of chariot racing! Overall, the children had a fantastic time learning about the Romans in Colchester and even more about Boudica's revolt and the impact she had on Colchester.
