Year 2

Our Outdoor PE session is on a Monday. Please ensure that your child comes into school in their outdoor PE kit, including a blue or black tracksuit if cold. Your child can also bring gloves and a hat if the weather is cold. 

Our Indoor PE session is on a Tuesday. Please ensure that your child comes into school in their PE kit on this day. This includes appropriate footwear such as trainers. If the weather is cold, your child is also able to wear a blue or black tracksuit to school in line with our uniform policy.

Spelling tests will be carried out in school on a Tuesday morning. New spellings will be sent home on a Wednesday.

The CGP homework books will also be sent home on a Wednesday. The books will alternate each week between Maths and English. A sheet will be sent home each with with details on which pages to complete.

Login details for Numbots and Times Table Rockstars (TTRS) are stuck in the children's reading records.

2B have very much enjoyed their first two Forest School sessions this year - and they were all really brilliant at using the drill slowly and carefully to make holes in conkers!

Thanks to Mr Fenn and the helpers for making the sessions so much fun!

2W have had so much fun in their Forest School sessions with Mr Fenn. From building, catching bugs, and using a drill, they thoroughly enjoyed it. They even made conker necklaces!

In Science we have been learning about materials and the children started the unit by making Material Monsters!

Each group were given a range of objects made from a different material and then had make their monster using their material. The children worked hard in their groups and the monsters looked great!
