Curriculum Overview

Our Curriculum is underpinned by our core values ‘Aspire, Care, Learn for Life’ which are at the core of everything we do. Our common values enable everyone in the school community to provide an environment which fully prepares our children for their lives as adults, both academically and personally. We are an inclusive school and have high expectations of all of our children, valuing their individuality and creativity.

Our curriculum is designed to be real, purposeful and engaging with children’s personal development and emotional wellbeing at the centre, minimising, where possible, barriers to learning that children may face. Children who are emotionally literate and have a well developed sense of self are more ready to learn and access the academic part of our curriculum. This will enable them to retain knowledge and learned skills, preparing them for the next stage of their education as well as for their life beyond school.
