Week beginning 23.03.20

Daily tasks

You should continue with your daily reading (20 minutes per day) and record details in your reading record. Remember to note down any new or exciting vocabulary.

Spend some time on Times Table Rockstars - there will be some battles coming up!

You will find spelling lists in the English section under the heading 'useful websites' of the Year 5 page.  Challenge yourself to learn 10 per week. Can you use the words in context?

If you use Lexia in school, please continue to use this at home.

Rainbow trail

Well done to everyone who has created a rainbow to display in the front windows of their homes to spread happiness in our community.  Whilst you are out for some exercise with your family, keep your eyes peeled - see how many rainbows you can spot!! If you live near school and walk past, have a look at the hall windows!

Butterflies

After completing our learning tasks, we made butterflies linked to our English text.  If you missed the link - here it is:

Thank you for your emailed photographs of your butterflies!

It's great to see you sharing the activity with members of your family.

Butterflies made at home!
One of the 5W pupils made the challenge even harder by reducing the size of his paper!  This tiny butterfly is smaller than a penny! Very fiddly!!
Butterflies made by Miss Wood and Miss Quade
Made by Year 5 and 6, Mrs Gosling and Mrs Woolman
