Aspire, Care, Learn for Life
Today we will be refreshing and building upon your Year 2 work on capacity and volume.
Have a look at the PowerPoint and see how many of the questions you can answer - make sure you discuss with a partner or adult to ensure you have a solid understanding.
When you are feeling confident, choose an activity that you think would be a suitable challenge.
As always, most of you will be attempting the 'Orange' sheet and there is no obligation for you to finish a sheet you start if you find it too easy or difficult and would prefer to select a more appropriate challenge!
The answers are attached at the end of each document for you to self-assess (or to help your parents mark your work!).
If you do not have access to a printer, feel free to sketch the diagrams straight into your exercise book but try to be as accurate as possible!
We hope you enjoy today's lesson!
Today you are going to complete a rhyme and rhythm investigation using the 'Dragon Song' poem. If you don't have a printer at home, you can write your answers out in your exercise book.
For the syllables question, we recommend you read each line aloud and either clap the syllables (and get an adult to count them) or count the syllables on your fingers as you read aloud.
This week we are learning to spell words with the long /ay/ sound spelt 'eigh' as in 'eight' and 'ei' as in 'vein'.
Eight, eighth, eighty, weight, neighbour, vein, veil, beige, sleigh, freight.
Flip a coin to decide how you will learn your spellings today.
