Thursday

Foundation - Art @10am

It's time to draw-a-long with Rob! The draw-a-long is live at 10am, however the video will be added to the website if you would prefer to draw at a different time.

Pop a photo of your completed picture on Seesaw so we can see your great drawings!  Remember that once you have the outline of your drawing, you can adapt it to develop your own personal style.

English - Diary entry lesson 2.

Our English lesson today is based on reading a diary entry with a focus on fact retrieval.

Follow the instructions from the video- remembering to pause and complete the activities when asked to. Use the 'next activity' or green dots at the bottom of the page to navigate through.

Remember to add to your magpie page as you watch the video.

After completing your task - resume the video for feedback to self mark and edit your work before uploading on seesaw. ** Listen out for Mr Emmerson accidentally saying 'Well done Year 6' **

If you have any questions or technical issues, send us a message wither via email or on seesaw.

Spelling

Using your ible suffix spelling words (and two of your own), try the activity below. Your drawing can be anything you like. Hide your spelling words either as part of your drawing or when you are colouring. Upload a copy of your picture to see if your Class Teacher can see the spelling words!!

Maths

Today you will apply the frog technique from yesterday to answer subtracting decimal word problems.

1. Read through the learning reminders to remind yourself of the frog technique. Although all these questions are subtraction, you may want to refresh yourself of the word problem rules.

2. Choose your level of challenge.

Bit Stuck: using the number line provided, find the difference between the two amounts by using the frog method.

Mild: Answer the subtraction word problems by using the frog technique.

Hotter: Answer the subtraction word problems by using the frog technique.

Mark your answers.

3. Have a go at the investigation.

Have another read through of the Powerpoint which was attached to last week's lesson.

Using the plate template provided, design a meal that contains the correct amount of each of the food groups. Remember, we need plenty of fruits or vegetable and a small amount of fats.
