Maths
Today we will be looking at pairs of parallel and perpendicular lines in 2D shapes.
There is a PowerPoint for you to work through to help explain things and then there is a worksheet.
You will notice that each shape on the worksheet is numbered - so please feel free to simply write the question number and the answer to the number of parallel/perpendicular lines in your exercise book without having to print the sheet.
For those of you who have been enjoying our extension challenges, there is one for you to attempt below!
Enjoy your final lesson of the week.
Today we would like you to research and write a short explanation text on how a plant of your choice disperses it's seeds.
You could research one of the following plants which all have interesting methods of seed dispersal: burdock, dandelion, gorse, strawberry, sycamore or coconut.
We have attached the planning sheet and word mat from previous lessons to help you.
To make your explanation even better, you could add a diagram with a caption or challenge yourself to create a glossary.
Our focus for this week is on: words with a short /u/ sound spelt 'ou'.
Today you can choose option A or B to learn the spellings:
enough, young, touch, double, trouble, country, courage, rough, tough and cousin.
