Maths

Applying my knowledge so far.

Today's lesson is something a little bit different!

Once you have completed the starter, you will be able to have a go at the main worksheet for the lesson.

You will find some instructions which, if followed carefully, will create a picture made purely from 2D shapes!

We will be seeing how well you can identify and draw shapes based on features alone (and, of course, how well you can follow instructions)!

Better yet - once you have done this, you can even write your own set of instructions for a friend, family member or teacher to try!

Attached is an answer sheet for the adults who are helping you - but no cheating!

Story writing

Today you can really use your creativity! We would like you to write your own story about a duel (competition) that two characters aren't supposed to have, but do anyway!

Will your story feature a dance off, a display of football skills or artistic talent? Or something else entirely?

How will your two competitors know each other? What makes them alike and different? Who is it who wants to spoil their fun?

You can use the story mountain template below to plan your story before you begin writing.

We have also attached some example story starters to help you if you are stuck with how to begin. Feel free to use them for inspiration!

**Remember to include direct speech and a range of conjunctions in your writing.**
